Thermocal Laboratory can calibrate
working digital thermometers over the range -30°C
to 120°C, to an
accuracy of ±
0.5° C.
The temperature
sensor must be a metal sheathed probe, or an exposed junction thermocouple
that can be inserted into a
sensor pocket. The service does not apply to
the calibration of surface contact thermometers or infra-red thermometers.
The cost per thermometer is $110 plus
GST for a calibration at up to four temperatures and the issue of an IANZ
endorsed
Report. For multiple input meters, the above cost is for the calibration
of one input and sensor. The cost to calibrate at
additional temperatures
is $25 plus GST per calibration temperature. The calibration and Report
would meet the requirements
of
NZS/ISO/IEC 17025, "General requirements
for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories".
Thermocal Laboratory is primarily a
calibration laboratory, and generally does not carry out repair work. Instruments
sent to
the laboratory for calibration should be in good working order.
If an instrument is designed to be adjusted without specialist
knowledge
or equipment, the instrument would be adjusted to minimize calibration
corrections.
Our normal calibration accuracy over
the temperature range -30°C
to 120°C is ±
0.03°C
or better. You will need to ensure that
a calibration accuracy of ±
0.5°C is suitable
for your instrument. If you have a reference thermometer and require the
maximum
accuracy that the laboratory can achieve, please check Calibration
Inquiries.
Please contact us if you would like
the laboratory to calibrate your working thermometer. You would need to
confirm that your
digital thermometer is a working thermometer and specify
the temperatures at which the instrument is to be calibrated. Please
ask
if you require calibrations outside the temperature range of -30°C
to 120°C.
